Derivations, 2nd Installment: In this segment we compare and explore derivatives, descendents, and variations. In Installment 2 we listened to Bob Dylan's Dream, written by Bob Dylan in 1961, and the song he modeled it after, Lord Franklin. Also known as Lady Franklin's Lament, the song was written in 1845 about the Arctic Exploration of the British Naval officer Sir John Franklin, who disappeared while attempting to map the Northwest Passage. Bob Dylan's song is about his time spent on MacDougal St. in Greenwich Village in 1961 with the man who was to become Wavy Gravy.
